Article Processing Charges Policy

Article processing charges (APCs)

JEPIBIO follows the open access policy, researchers can get the articles online easily. The article processing charges (APC) of the manuscript is 30,000 PKR (For Pakistani) and 200 US$ (For Foreigners). The APCs are meant to ensure the quality of reviewing process and faster publication process regardless of profit-linked motives. The corresponding author will be responsible for the payment of the APC after the receipt of INVOICE. The APCs can be revised any time as per decisions of Editorial Board.

Non-profit model:

JEPIBIO is working on a non-profit model. It means that the primary goal of this journal is disseminating knowledge rather than generating profits. JEPIBIO adheres to the value of COLLABORATION which ensures the aim to make scientific research accessible to a wider audience, including underserved communities. Furthermore, JEPIBIO re-invests the profits again in the activities related to journal.

JEPIBIO charges minimal APCs compared to for-profit journals, primarily to cover operating costs. Operating costs include the operational charges of website maintenance, web-domain, web-hosting charges, rapid article review, and typesetting charges. JEPIBIO’s editorial staff mainly work voluntarily or at reduced salaries. JEPIBIO also adheres to values of INTEGRITY and INNOVATION to ensure academic credibility and research impact over financial performance.

Waiver policy

The waiver policy for JEPIBIO is designed to support researchers who cannot afford the article processing charges. Authors from Low and Middle-Income Countries defined by world bank or UNO may qualify for a full or partial waiver. Requests for waivers must be submitted when the manuscript is first submitted, or when payment is requested after manuscript acceptance. Waiver decisions are made by the Editorial Board, but delays in article review may occur due to late waiver decisions. The inability to pay does not affect the peer review or publication outcome.
